Dr. Lawrence N. Goldman is a board certified gastroenterologist who evaluates and treats medical conditions of the stomach, intestines and liver. A seasoned physician, Dr. Goldman has spent more than 30 years caring for patients and performing procedures in the gastroenterology field. This experience has given him exposure to all levels of digestive health disorders and has allowed him to help thousands of patients manage and restore their gastrointestinal health.

For over a decade, Dr. Goldman has practiced gastroenterology on the beautiful island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). Dr. Goldman has a private practice and is affiliated with the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital. Dr. Goldman serves as the hospital’s Head of the Department of Medicine.

Prior to relocating to St. Thomas 10 years ago, Dr. Goldman practiced gastroenterology in other communities including San Diego, California, El Cajon, California, Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Goldman is highly credentialed, having earned a medical degree from the Chicago School of Medicine and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. He trained (residency and fellowship) at the University of Alabama Hospitals and Clinics and engaged in post-graduate studies at the Academic Medical Center in the Netherlands and at the University of Utah.

Dr. Goldman and his wife, Helen, have a grown daughter, two grown sons and three grandchildren. The Goldmans enjoy life in the Caribbean and can usually be found sailing in the waters of the British Virgin Islands during time away from the office.
